We are proud to introduce a new line of upholstery furniture into our library of offerings. Robin Bruce is a collection of customizable upholstery furniture that brings a designer's touch to your home. A great price point, made in America and delivered in about 30 days only makes the decision easier. Casual or more formal? Lots of pillows? Or tailored with no muss no fuss? On legs or skirted? You select the fabric and style. We are there to help you.
Robin Bruce comes standard with down wrapped cushions - offering unbeatable comfort and luxury. Offered within the line are the "Wear Smart" fabrics. With this technology the fabrics are treated with a stain resistancy and have water clean up. Great for all those little spills in your life.
Come sit and be inspired.

Happenings at the Studio...
The Interior Design Studio is proud to be working together with The Children's Center of Medina County in the redesign of their space. The center provides care to neglected and abused children while coordinating the services that promote healing and recovery. Medina Sunrise Rotary Club is hosting the annual Wine and Roses Dinner Benefit Dinner and Auction to which all the proceeds benefit the Children's Center of Medina County. We are very excited to be a part of such a meaningful project.
We have been published!! A great reward in the interior design business is to be selected for a feature in a home periodical. In this month's Akron Life and Leisure magazine we were interviewed and featured with a recent project we completed along with a few other acclaims. Check it out!
The Akron Home and Flower show is opening at the end of this month at the JS Knight Center. The show runs February 26-28 and features over 4900 square feet of showcase gardens and home displays. We are happy to be a part of the show with our own booth as well. As members of the Akron HBA we participated on the committee for the show and hope for it to be a big success. See you there! |
Feature Design
The project consisted of the homeowners Living Room, Dining Room, Family Room, Foyer and Kitchen. This took a great amount of design capability and patience on behalf of the homeowners. Living through a remodel or renovation is totally another discussion.
First we will start with the design: The existing layout proved to be not usable for these current empty nesters. The foyer and stair rail was outdated along with the carpet, and flooring selections. Walls were moved along with the existing wall of stone from the original fireplace. A half wall with iron railing dividing the Living Room and halls were also removed. The original family room was converted to a warm and inviting library, fit for any scholar.
During this transformation we selected new hardwood floors to connect the Living Room, Dining Room, halls and foyer. A ceramic medallion was added to the foyer to fully give a sense of presence to this entry space. Paint and wall coverings were updated, new cabinetry was built for the library, and new furniture was custom designed to better suit the clients' needs. Speaking from a designers' point of view, I feel the home is spectacular both in function, color and design. This job is a tribute to great workmanship on the part of the contractors as well as the design team.
Yeah team!!!!!!

ASK AMY:
In this edition we are including a new section for clients or readers to ask design questions to our talented staff. These questions can be emailed to: thestudio@zoominternet.net. We welcome the discussion and thoughts of what our readers are thinking.
So here we go! I will begin with the most common questions asked of our team.
Question: How do I work with an Interior Designer? Answer: Be honest! Explain to the designer what you expect or need from her. Share budget information, it should not be a secret. We need to know this in order to show you appropriate price ranges for your project.
Question: Will a Designer come to my home for just a color consult? Answer: Yes! We at The Interior Design Studio have an affordable House Call fee. It entitles you to approximately an hour of the Designers' time. We will select paint colors, help with room layouts, or discuss your accessory groupings.
That's all for now, please let us know what you think or a question you may have pertaining to your home and environment!!!
Thanks,
Amy
